“I purchased an I3 from Mike in December and love it. There was a problem with my laser printer: the distributor cancelled the order after Jeremy spent 1 1/2 hrs. getting product. Xmas time didn’t help and installation didn’t happen til 1/13. Other issues ensued with the 3 devices: iPad ~ I3 ~ Android on that day.

“It doesn’t help that the company discourages you from leaving your computer off at their place; they come to you. However, I think most places (e.g., Fry’s) have a hefty price for figuring out the problem; after all, they often have to dismantle it to find out what’s wrong.
On the other hand, Brent (maybe Brett), their repair person, correctly diagnosed the problem and fixed it the second time he came around, and I was not charged. Mike, the owner, was very responsive when I complained that the first fix didn’t work. He also reimbursed me for the repair part that proved irrelevant. Overall, I was very pleased with the outcome and with the excellent customer service provided by both Brent and by Mike. I recommend them highly, especially if you know what’s wrong with your computer. If you’re not sure, don’t hesitate to ask them their policy/price for diagnosing the problem.”

When my SONY VAIO power port broke and I had problems with heating up, I went first to Fry’s. The guy I talked to sounded right off a used auto lot and there were promises of extra costs. Quelle suprise.
Then I went to Yelp and took a chance on BACS. WIthin a few days, Brent came out and within an hour repaired the computer. Three hours later, it was as bad (if not worse) than it was before. Lesson: Do not diagnose the problem yourself, better to let the professionals do it.
However, when I called Mike, he said he’d sent Brent out again, If the problem was not the fan (my diagnosis) he would not charge me for it. Brett came out again and, only through his extraordinary talent found another problem (something about switching the memory devices) that resulted in a fixed computer! True to his word, Mike refunded me the cost of the new fan that I didn’t need.
A couple of general things that might be helpful at any repair place.
1. Find out if you can have the computer diagnosed at the same time it is repaired, or if there’s some way that they can you can leave it off, have it diagnosed, and leave the computer OPEN so that you’re not charged extra for labor when the repair is done. This was unclear to me. BACS comes to your house, and MIke seemed hesitant about me leaving the computer at their office location. Perhaps he can clarify that here.
2. This place is fantastic if you know what’s wrong with your computer and don’t need to worry about diagnosis.
3. Even with the home service, the repair cost is likely not more than other places, but ask question #1 first, then try to get an estimate from somewhere else.
4. MOST IMPORTANT! Mike was professional and courteous on the phone, and listened to my complaint and problem after the first visit. He wanted a satisfied customer, and so sent Brent out again for a second try. Brent was great, and Mike was fair about refunding the cost of a part that I thought needed repairing but which did not.
This is a place that values its customers. Just make sure that you ask enough questions that you understand the services, costs, and any options that might be delivery. If you’re not sure, or you don’t understand, ask again. Establish a good working relationship and realistic expectations and you’ll be treated fairly.

When a computer challenge occurred, I had no idea where to begin to look for help. I use an iMac, had lost a huge section of important data, and began a google search. Way too many choices out there… BACS stood out, although I did call a few others as well. I called on a Sunday afternoon, left a messages, not expecting a return call until the following week.
I got a call back w/in an hour from Mike at BACS. Considering I live outside of their general area of work, Mike told me he would check w/ his technicians and see if any of them would be able to assist me.
The next day, Len Maggiore contacted me, remote into my computer, and solved my issue w/ ease. Not only was he knowledgeable, he was confident working w/ a Mac. He solved it while my computer stayed in my home!

“Our iMac started shutting down unexpectedly, and we had a few network configuration problems, so we called BACS. Made an appt for the next day and Todd came right on time. What an absolute pleasure to deal with this firm on all levels. Todd was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and polite, and while the iMac will have to go in for work, he diagnosed our router and printer problems and corrected those very quickly. We took his recommendation and got a new more secure wireless router from Fry’s. and I installed that today. My wife and I have been in high tech for 20+ years, and it’s not frequent that you find service of this high caliber. He did in an hour what I’ve been “attempting to get around to doing” do in a couple months. I can’t recommend them highly enough!”
